ABCsTube -- Letters
Our new ABCsTube range of lieracy software gives children control. ABCsTube first program lets children play, stop and replay as often as they like. And they DO like. Children will happily play with this for hours. While they are playing the cartoon animations and catchy tunes are teaching them their letter sounds, names and shapes. These are fantastic education games for kids.
As a bonus the children are learning the ASL (American Sign Language) or BSL (British Sign Language) alphabets. This is particularly helpful for deaf children or kinetic learners. Note: New Zealand Sign Language uses the BSL alphabet.
Coming Soon:Watch Me Writing -- Demo
Our New WatchMeWriting range of literacy games software guides children through the stages of learning to write. This demo version helps even very young children learn to write Mom & Pop or Mum and Dad.
Writing, like everything else young children learn, needs a LOT of repetition in an environment where it is safe to 'fail'. With our WatchMeWriting literacy software children graduate from 'having a go' writers through to 'I can do it' writers almost without realising it. The stages they go through are:
Watch and try: By pushing the replay button on this level, children can listen to the sound of the letter and watch the letter being traced. When they feel up to it they are able to attempt tracing the letter themselves. Their efforts are saved so they, and you, can see their efforts as they gradually improve.
Guided: Now children are guided through writing the letter. If they stray too far from where they are supposed to be the 'pen' stops writing - oops! Time to get back to where they are supposed to be.
By Myself: At this level children should know how to form the letter. When they start writing the guide letter underneath disppears. They are now free to write it from memory.
Coming Soon: Watch Me Writing -- My Name
What is the first things children want to write? Their own name.
With this program you are able to make a 'tile' of your child's name. Because you are the one making the tile you are able to pronounce it 'correctly'.
Children love being able to write their name. When they feel confident they can progress onto writing the names of other people in their family: brothers, sisters, granparents etc.
